Wedding Design Inspiration:Spring Floral Color Palette
Spring brings new life and new energy, and nothing represents that better than an abundance of colorful blooms! For the spring wedding reception of our wonderful clients, Raffi and Narin, we used a multi-hued floral color palette to represent the joy and beauty of the season, and kept the look elevated and refined by using some very specific creative design techniques. It was a modern spring garden party with unexpected, delightful touches!

Incorporate Neutral Colors
When you think of a colorful wedding color palette, you probably don’t think about neutrals, but their use is key to achieving a successful final effect. If everything is bright, then nothing grabs your attention. By using shades of matte green and grey in the draping, table linens, carpets, candelabras, and supporting florals we created the perfect backdrop for the colorful florals to POP!
Add Contrasting Textures
One of the most satisfying visual elements of this lovely reception is the combination of textures and surfaces. They are a feast for the eye all on their own! Silky, billowing fabric created the walls and ceiling, and made the perfect backdrop to showcase contrasting textures throughout the room. From the floating “clouds” of baby’s breath and long floral centerpieces, to the cane back wood dining chairs and matte green candelabras, everything was a study in delicate contrasts. Even the place settings incorporated multiple textures – an intricately carved charger beneath a modern, angular ceramic dinner plate, surrounded by rose gold flatware and cut crystal glassware.
Fill the Space in Every Dimension
Depending on the room or the outdoor area you have to work with, be sure you look around, as well as up and down! Filling a room’s vertical space as well as the obvious floor plan can elevate an event design to something truly extraordinary. At this reception we played with vertical levels by building a raised seating area around the dance floor, and by creating a floating ceiling of draped fabric and fluffy floral clouds. Tall trees and large floral arrangements dotted the edges of the room, and the tall, slim candelabras on the dining tables created visual drama while still making it easy for guests to interact across the table.
